For this project I was trying to represent sound through a picture...one is obviously more literal than the other...The guy with the drums was in portland and the apple with headphones was me trying to be creative, but I don't know if I really like it that much...I'm thinking about retaking it.

Being from portland I know the sounds of those drums. The posture and expression you captured are very telling. I think that a sharper angle would have produced more sound... but the relaxed view of this shot definitely gives the feeling that the drummer has no cares and knows exactly what he is doing.
I'd love to talk with you more about your prints. I would like to set up a time in the darkroom where I could be there when you are printing to watch the process...it just seems like alot of your prints are unnecessarily dark and that takes away from the image. Your concepts are always so strong that the technical aspect takes away from your potentially great prints. Talk with me about this!
